Andre Ayew proved his worth when he came off the bench to score twice in Swansea’s 3-1 victory over Northampton.

Andre Ayew levelled things up for Swansea in the 80th minute after Matt Warburton shot the visiting team into a shock lead in the 61st minute.

After Ayew’s equalizer, George Byers scored in the 83rd minute to put Swansea 2-1 up before the Ghanaian captain put the icing on the cake when he added Swansea’s third in the 88th minute.

The future of Andre Ayew remains in doubt as he was reportedly offered to Fenerbache for free during the just ended transfer window.

Swansea City will play Cambridge United in the second round of the Carabao Cup.
