BoltFromTheBlue: Mubarak Wakaso Withdraws And Apologizes For Earlier Comments On Partizan Politics Killing The National Team

In an interview on Angel TV, Mubarak Wakaso opined that partisan politics is one of the reasons why the Black Stars hasn’t being as successful as it ought to.

He specifically mentioned the two major political parties in Ghana thus NPP and NDC and in a generalized comment, said that, “NPP do not want us to win and vice versa”.

The comment appeared as though it was revealing internal wranglings which had been ongoing or are presently ongoing in the Black Stars.

However, even before one could seek for clarification, the tough tackling midfielder, has withdrawn those comments and apologised for making them.

Apparently, the backlash the comments have generated have “forced” him to rethink his earlier position.

In his apology, he said that the comments he made were not intended to malign any political party or make anyone unpopular.
