Corona Virus: “I Stopped A Lot Of My Family From Going To Church. Faith Shouldn’t Negate Common Sense” – Lydia Forson

We hoped that Ghana wouldn’t record any case of the corona virus however, our hopes have been dashed as it has been confirmed that Ghana has recorded 6 cases of the corona virus.

And it is not a hidden secret that Ghana is a highly religious country. With respect to that, some religious people are of the opinion that the corona virus cannot survive in the church hence putting a halt to religious gatherings need not be done. To these, faith supersedes common sense.

And there are others on the other side of the spectrum who believe that despite our believe in God, we ought to be cautious and adhere to all the measures being instituted to help curb the corona virus.

Award-winning actress, Lydia Forson has taken to social media to advise that we do not negate common sense in the pursuance of our religious faith.

She highlighted.the fact that she is from a highly religious home and that it doesn’t imply that everything be placed in the hands of religion when we actually have the power to do something about it.
