“Don’t Ghanaian Lives Matter?” – A Plus Hits Hard At The Government Of Ghana For Holding A Ceremony In Honor Of George Floyd

Political activist and founder of The People’s Project (TPP), Kwame Obeng, known popularly as A Plus has hit hard at the Ghanaian government for holding a ceremony in honor of George Floyd whiles same was not done for Ghanaians who lost their lives in tragic situations.

He questioned the government’s inability to do anything worthwhile about the seven unarmed Zongo boys who were shot and killed by the police, the 3 Takoradi girls who went missing in Takoradi, the unarmed man who was shot and killed in Ashaiman during the lockdown, the 70 Ghanaians who died in an accident at Kintampo.

Stressing on the 70 who died at Kintampo, A Plus further scolded the government for organizing a mass grave and pushing all of them into it instead of organizing a DNA test for families to identify those who were burnt.
He also called out the government for its double standards; sending out police to brutalize peaceful protesters in Adenta who were protesting for a footbridge but turning around to to organize a ceremony for George Floyd.
“Ghanaians are not blacks. Their lives don’t matter”, he sarcastically said.

In his parting shot, A Plus wrote, “one day all of us will know who really cares about this country and its people. May God grant all of us long life!!!
