Since the outbreak of the corona virus, there has been one resounding theme; that the issue isn’t politicized. It is a rallying cry which has been issued by the first Gentleman of the land, President Nana Akufo-Addo.

However, in an address to the nation, the Vice President, Dr. Mahmoud Bawumia did exactly the opposite as he compared the erstwhile NDC administration’s handling of the DUMSOR crisis to the current government’s handling of the COVID-19.

With respect to the Veep’s latest line of action, celebrated actress, Lydia Forson has expressed extreme disappointment.

She said that she’s; “utterly disgusted and extremely dissapointed” by the Veep’s comparison of DUMSOR to COVID-19.

The justification of her disappointment is that; the comparison is a non-starter because unlike the DUMSOR, the COVID-19 is a pandemic which is threatening “our very human existence”.

Was the Veep wrong to have done this comoarison?
