Just In:John Dumelo Wins Primaries At Ayawaso West Wuogon With 758 Votes

Ghanaian actor, philanthropist, enterpreneur and recently turned politician, John Dumelo has emerged victorious in the ongoing parliamentary primaries of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency.
He won with a landslide victory of 758 votes representing 88.24% of the votes cast whiles his competitor, Afua Adobea only managed to secure a paltry 99 votes, representing 11.53% of the votes cast.

Mr Dumelo says his main aim is to take the seat back from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) so he could be “part of the decision-making process”.

Afua Adoboe speaking in an interview with TV3 expressed shock at the outcome of the elections. She however declared her full support for John Dumelo in the upcoming 2020 elections.

Two-time NDC parliamentary candidate for the Ayawaso West Wuogon seat, Delali Kwasi Brempong failed to pick forms for the ongoing elections.

During an interview with TV3, Dumelo was upbeat about his chances of winning the seat in the 2020 elections.

We wish him the best of luck.
