MTN Presents: MTN Hitmaker Season 7, Themed “Rule The Mic”
The audacity and impact of the MTN Hitmaker initiative cannot be underscored as it has led to the likes of Kuami Eugene, Kurl Songx, Koo Ntakra and Kidi finding themselves in the top echelon of the Ghanaian music industry.
Opportunity as we say “comes but once” and with respect to that, MTN has again presented the glorious opportunity for the various music talents out there to showcase what they are made of to the larger world.
The MTN hit maker was launched at the MTN Head Office on the 16th of August 2018 and just as expected, it was graced by the presence of a lot of relevant personalities in the music industry such as Mark Okraku Mantey, David Kojo Kyei [popularly known as Kaywa], Eazzy and Richie, amongst a host of many other media personalities.
MTN’s Senior Manager for Marketing Planning Analytics, Guido Sopiimeh during the launch, reiterated the massive contribution of MTN in helping to improve the lives of hitherto, unacknowledged musicians.
The fascinating aspect about this season’s Hitmaker is the addition of MTN Radio, a platform which enables the contestants to rake in some more cash prior to the winning package of 100, 000 cedis which constitutes of: recording, music video production as well as song promotion.
This season’s Hitmaker will also make use of various digital platforms such as MTN Play and MTN Video+ to allow a wider search for the music talents as well as create a platform for the contestants to have interactions with their fans.
