Nearly $80,000 Raised For Surgery Of Ghanaian Artist Suffering Liver Disease (Photos)

Social media get results as a lot of people have donated towards the surgery of talented artist Emmanuel Apraku popularly known as PenciledCelebrities.

A GofundMe account created on his behalf has seen a total of 1,800 donors — raising a total of $59,111 surpassing the initial goal of $55,000 needed for the immediate surgery.

Again, First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo has also donated a whopping $20,000 (GHc115,577.86) to help cover the cost of the amount needed.

The total amount required for the liver surgery is $55,000.

Thus, nearly $80,000 have been raised so far and this amount excludes undisclosed payments that were made through MTN mobile money and from anonymous donors.

Emmanuel Apraku, famed as PenciledCelebrities a.k.a Ray Styles was diagnosed with liver disease. The extremely talented young artist has since been battling for his life and he needs urgent medical liver surgery. Soul-wrenching images that have emerged of Apraku on social media show him in a delicate condition as his health continues to worsen due to the liver disease.

Several Ghanaians including celebrities took to social media to seek support to fund Ray’s treatment and the response was truly overwhelming. We thank God that he can now go ahead with his medical treatment and we pray that he gets well soon to share this incredible testimony.
