Revealed: DKB Recalls How ‘The Mafia’ Orchestrated His Rejection By Basket Mouth

DKB is one of Ghana’s most sought after comedians. However, he didn’t achieve such a status on a silver platter and like the adage goes, there’s no gain without pain neither are there testimonies without tests.

The astute comedian has revealed how he was denied a spot by some ‘mafias’ on a comedy show which was to be hosted in London and headlined by Basketmouth.

Narrating his ordeal, DKB revealed that some people in Ghana’s show business industry as well as some Nigerian comedians in Ghana attacked Basket mouth for putting him (DKB) on the comedy show which was to be staged at The Hilton, Deansgate in Manchester and The SSE Arena in London on the 9th and 11th of September, 2018 respectively.

As a result of the hullaballoo surrounding his appearance on the show, he was dropped by Basket mouth and a new poster which can be seen below was done to that effect.

DKB said that though his agents, Akwaaba UK pleaded with him to be a part of the show because of the role they played in organising it, he turned down their offer, citing that he didn’t want to suffer from any form of discrimination or negative energy.

DKB urged all to keep fighting for a good cause despite the backlash they might face.

He also said he’ll expose the ‘mafias’ who did that to him when the time is right.
